Every house that we stage has its own unique character and feel that inspires our staging design. Home staging can help a property look its best in many ways.
This single family home in Portland that Synergy Staging recently staged was a fairly large house, but many of the rooms were quite small. Had this house been left vacant, potential buyers would have been left guessing how to arrange their furniture. Worse yet, some would just give up and not even consider the house as an option.
The picture below left is the view from the front door and the picture on the right is the reverse angle. A very narrow living room / dining room combination. Not only is the space small, but the fireplace and mantle are very color specific.

The same views after staging the home shows buyers how they can have the feel of two separate rooms in this small space.

No matter what style, condition, price range, or location your home is in - a professional home stager will help your home show in the best possible way and appeal to the broadest range of potential buyers.
We'll be posting more pictures of this property very soon, including another look at some of Nik's original artwork.

Nicely done! I love the table and chairs you used and the addition of dark accents to compliment the fireplace.
LOVE the table & chairs in the Dining Area....GREAT choice for the space!!!!
Hi David - nice job and good point about small spaces. I think it is almost essential to stage small spaces because if you use the right scale of furniture people can then see the potential and that there is more room then they think. Thanx for sharing.
So many of the newer homes I go into have a living/dining room combination. Invariably the seller is using it as one or the other and not showing off all the features of the home. Great job!
YOu are so right ... many people are downsizing to condos ans small homes ... it helps if they can see how great a space can look and how much can actually fit the space.
Beautiful staging. nice use of the space.
Great job David!!! That is what I call turning a House into a Home!!!!!!!
Sharon ~ Thank you!
Kathy ~ That'a table from Pier One that we love too - but it's SO heavy! Not the most fun piece to move.
Mannie ~ It's true that smaller spaces always look larger when staged which many clients don't believe until they see it for themselves. This is usually more common in bedrooms, but applied in this case as well.
Janice ~ While owners may choose to have a room be one or other, its important as a stager to show the full potential of the space and how it could be lived in. I know I'd want to have both spaces and not just one!
Liz ~ Thanks - the better a space looks helps a buyer envision it and more chances for a potential sale.
Randy ~ Appreciate it!
Hi David ~ The vacant photos just show an odd space. Nik's design to make the living and dining areas "work" for potential buyers was the key in making this home look so livable. The round dining table helped soften those hard corner angles too.
I love what you guys do with all of your rooms! Great staging!
Congratulations. Your post is being featured in the group Staging Before and After Pictures.
Kathy
David,
Great choice of furniture & decor for this space. Classy!
That's a different choice for a dinning room table and chairs. Your boldness paid off. Great job!
The contrast of the dark woods against the light walls and carpet give a classic feel and look to the room. Nicely done David.
Maureen ~ Helping buyers understand how to use a space like this is one of the fun parts of our job. Don't you think?
Kathy ~ Thanks so much - and really appreciate the feature!
Sharon ~ Thank you!
Christine ~ Glad you liked the dining room set. Those chairs are one of my favorites.
Peggy ~ Thanks Peggy. Taking into consideration the color palette and how it work with every room is key for just the right feel.
I agree sometimes the smaller homes are the hardest to stage as you don't have much room and you have to accent the room you do have.
