The beginning of each new year always feels like an appropriate time to reflect on the previous 12 months while looking forward to what the next 12 may bring. This year we at Synergy Staging decided to assemble our list of Top 10 Home Staging Success Stories for 2009. While we had a variety of projects, both home staging and design, we'll limit this list to those that sold quickly or had particular challenges to overcome. In re-visiting these projects we hope to share some valuable staging tips that will help others as well.
NUMBER 3
Single Family Home, Gresham, OR
This five bedroom home was purchased by an investor who understood the power of staging. After a quick flip and remodel we were brought in to make the property inviting and allow buyers to feel at home.

This is the view from the front door. Since buyers generally make up their mind about a property within seconds of entering, it is important that they be greeted with a pleasant look and not turned away by clutter or a vacant space.

Staging the dining room warmed up the room and toned down the maroon window treatments.

Gray carpet isn't the most neutral of colors, but once stage the room feels warmer and less stark.
This home was staged, listed, sold, and closed in less than three weeks. The new owners moved in only 20 days after staging. That is the power of staging!

David ~ Synergy Staging is awesome. Thanks for sharing!
Powerful indeed! Great work David!!
Can I get an AMEN?! Excellent example. Congrats on the success!
Nice job...thanks for sharing. I have the same bench from pier 1 but with a different cushion. Do you ever watch HGTV and in their reveals recognize pieces from your own inventory??
Hi David, I especially like how you worked with the grey carpet in the bedroom. It now looks fresh with the bedding and the pops of lime green instead of dreary. Don't you just love those awkwardly placed fireplaces? Yikes! You made sense of the living space with your furniture arrangement. Love looking at your staging work! Thanks for sharing.
David, Way to work the corner fireplace! I also love the use of textures in the dining area. I just want to run my hands over those nubbly chairs. Excellent work.
And another great result. That bedroom carpet totally went away with the staging...the focus moved to th great PUNCH of Green/Brown in the bedding! GREAT job!
Monique ~ Thanks!
Cathy ~ I appreciate your nice comments.
Pangaea ~ Amen!!!
Valerie ~ It's always fun to see a piece of your inventory on HGTV or other design shows. It happens with items from Pier 1 and Z Gallerie quite often.
Diana ~ The fireplace was a bit tricky, but we wanted to keep the room open with a nice flow. Lime green is one of our favorite colors to use.
Sally ~ Those chairs are great for staging, but I don't know how comfortable they'd be if you had to sit on them all the time =)
Kathy ~ Staging the bedroom really allowed the buyers to see how they could live in the space so they weren't turned away by an empty room.
WOW, David, I think you captured inviting! Too bad about the burgandy window treatments - neutral would have been nice.
Beverly ~ Thanks! Many times we have to work with what that house had. And in this case there was still a quick sale!
David, you just have that 'touch'. Congratulations on another fine job.
