Today we de-staged one of our favorite homes. It was built by a home builder who has been a great client of ours. He does absolutely beautiful work and we are pleased that this home sold after many months on the market.
While we were de-staging he asked if we had any homes on the Portland Street of Dreams tour this year. I was flattered that he thought our work could be presented on that level of design. I let him know that typically interior designers do those homes and often times work with high end furniture companies that are selling their furnishings. We're looking forward to going to the show this year, but no, we did not stage/design any of the homes. Maybe next year =)
Here's a few of the after pics:

Your work is beautiful as always. Great job and what a nice compliment from the builder. I can see why he would think that too!!
David,
You always do amazing work on any project that I have seen you post. No wonder your client thought your work would be in the show!
Why don't you find a way to start the "Portland Street of Staging Dreams Tour". If anyone could do it, it would be you. It would sure help the Staging Industry to have the great recognition.
Chrissie ~ Thanks so much. It was great to hear it from the builder.
Linda ~ That's very nice of you. A Staging Dream Tour - now that could be fun...
I always love looking at your projects! You do fantastic work!
David, Yes your work is good enough for a Street of Dreams home. Keep up the good work.
David; I feel so left out on most of your posts. For whatever reason, most of your pictures don't show up for me! Is it just me, or do others have this problem? Weirdly enough, I get everyone else's pictures except yours! Sometimes I get one or two pictures, then the rest are blank. But usually I don't get any of them.
Can anyone explain this?
Okay, once I posted my comments above and hit enter, the pictures showed up! Weird. But at least I got them...I guess I need to post something to get the photos.
Now that I have them, I vote for you to do a Street of Dreams home! You are definitely in their league. Talk to your builder, maybe he can recommend you for next year.
Great pictures David - ceretainly a caliber that is capable of being in a parade of dream homes. Go out and pursue it for next year. The only thing they can say in no and you might be pleasantly surprised. They obviously think you have the potential or they wouldn't have mentioned it. Congrats!
I'm not surprised the home builder thought you and Nik staged a Street of Dreams home. You two do beautiful work and photograph it wonderfully as well. Congrats to both of you.
You have to love getting confirmation of your abilities, especially during these tough times. I mean, I am always telling myself that I'm good, but Geeesh, it's nice to hear it from others every once in a while.
Nice work and well deserved compliment!
Melissa ~ Thanks! And I love looking at yours!
Janelle ~ Thank you.
Peg ~ Not sure what is happening. I link all my pictures back to my website instead of loading them to the Active Rain servers. Maybe that's the difference. I'm not sure. But I'm glad it finally worked for you. Typically if you refresh your screen they'll show up. Thanks for stopping by
Sheila ~ Appreciate your kind words. Maybe we'll give it a go!
Kate ~ Thanks for your comments.
Emma ~ It is nice to get affirmation. Afterall, we want to have satisfied clients that appreciate the work we do.
David, don't sell yourself short! You and Nik have the talent and experience to handle a Street of Dreams home with ease! It is probably too late to get one for this year's tour, but I would love to see what you could do with one of the Pearl District condos that will be on the tour.
Kathy ~ Thank you! We'll just have to see about that. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow...
What a nice compliment. Don't you love those confidence boosters!
I think you did an amazing job on this one and if the builder is pleased and keeps selling then you've created Job Security for yourself! Nice work ... I love the Master room.
